"Beppe, abbiamo bisogno del tuo aiuto e dell'aiuto del Blog per Tobia Imperato, arrestato il 26 gennaio. Dal 13 febbraio Tobia è agli arresti domiciliari in isolamento assoluto con un'accusa ridicola: ha afferrato "per un braccio un operatore di polizia allo scopo di ostacolarne l'avanzata" nel corso dello sgombero del presidio della Maddalena il 27 giugno 2011. Il contatto in questione avviene su un ripido pendio a fianco dell'autostrada ed è preceduto da un intervento piuttosto rude di alcuni poliziotti che hanno appena buttato per terra un manifestante con le mani alzate. Il contatto dura solo un paio di secondi, senza che si possa apprezzare alcun intento violento da parte di Tobia. Tobia ha sostenuto, con dichiarazione spontanea resa in interrogatorio, di essersi aggrappato al poliziotto perché stava scivolando all'indietro. In effetti, dal filmato si vede che, immediatamente dopo aver appoggiato la mano sul poliziotto, egli cade all'indietro e scivola giù per la scarpata.
In realtà la colpa di Tobia è essere l'autore del libro La scarpe dei suicidi nel quale svela le responsabilità della magistratura e della DIGOS torinesi nella morte di Sole e Baleno. Poiché per le cose scritte nel libro non hanno potuto perseguirlo, hanno colto questa occasione per metterlo a tacere. Quasi ogni sera infatti andava a parlare del libro e del TAV in Val di Susa in serate pubbliche.
I domiciliari in isolamento assoluto (in attesa di giudizio!) sono una forma di tortura inaccettabile in uno stato moderno che si dichiara democratico.
Da sabato 3 marzo, Tobia ha iniziato uno sciopero della fame e si alimenta con sola acqua per protestare contro questa inaccettabile persecuzione. La procura non ha autorizzato un medico a visitarlo fino a venerdì scorso. La visita medica del 10 marzo ha registrato "una perdita di peso di sei chili (altri quattro chili erano stati persi durante la detenzione in carcere) e condizioni generali caratterizzate da affaticamento, debolezza , ipostenia. Cominciano a evidenziarsi i problemi legati alla mancanza di assunzione di zuccheri, grassi e proteine. I liquidi che Tobia assume sono assolutamente necessari, ma decisamente insufficienti a mantenere un adeguato equilibrio metabolico, il rifiuto ad assumere bevande zuccherate non aiuta".
Purtroppo, caro Beppe, nessun giornale, nonostante i comunicati stampa che abbiamo fatto e spedito a tutti, ha scritto una riga su questo fatto gravissimo e sulla sua protesta estrema.
